Coffee & Jam is Christchurch's longest running weekly meet up for entrepreneurial-minded people. It’s a great place to see ordinary people doing extraordinary things, be inspired, network, and share in an innovative space.
This week's speakers are:
1. Christina Baldarelli - Patch
Christina is the CEO of Patch, a sustainable tourism startup that is taking agri-tourism to the next level. Originally from California, Christina lived and worked in 6 countries on 4 continents before settling in New Zealand in 2013. Through managing experiential programs in international development, voluntourism, study abroad, and professional education, Christina found purpose in the belief that interacting with new people and places has the power to makes us better people. Christina spent 5 years with Massey University developing their National Expedition program, which mixes adventure tourism with experiential education, and matches international students with local internship placements that need their skills. She's now leading Patch, one of the 8 startups accepted into the Lightning Lab Tourism accelerator. Christina will be talking about taking a new startup through the Lightning Lab process as a first time founder, the challenge of validating a two sided market, and their hybrid product which includes digital elements as well as sustainably built structures.
2. Louise Webster - Ideas Accelerator
Coffee and Jam is your opportunity to meet new people in the Christchurch entrepreneurial ecosystem and indulge in a little bit of free coffee, jam and fresh bakery bread.
