Coffee & Jam is Christchurch's longest running weekly meet up for entrepreneurial-minded people. It’s a great place to see ordinary people doing extraordinary things, be inspired, network, and share in an innovative space.
This week's speakers are:
1. Daniel Thomson - Circuband
Daniel, Founder and CEO of Circuband, has led the company to year on year growth from its inception in 2014. During this time Daniel has demonstrated execution in Product Procurement, Design, Website Development, IP Formulation, Management, Leadership, R&D, Sales, Partnerships and Marketing. In 2016, he first recognised that sensors could be added to the Circuband and started development on MyoTracker and was backed by a grant from New Zealand’s R&D arm, Callaghan Innovation. Daniel also consulted for global Internet giant, Alibaba Group (BABA) and helped their US and Chinese product teams to maximise efficiencies. Once a Soldier, a Teacher and now Serial Inventor, he will talk about 3 key lessons in business: Patience, Perseverance and Passion.
2. Dave Sewell - Scaling Up
Dave is the Chief Education Officer (CEO) for Scaling Up NZ and is also known as the Performance Leadership Guy for his ground breaking research into leadership and his ability to join the dots between neuron science, hormones, behavior and stress the combination of which is the underlying factor of every interpersonal problem faced in any organisation.
